History
I learned how to play backgammon when I was a kid, and played a lot with my family and schoolmates.
Later in life, I taught how to play to a lot of my friends. Eventually, I got to a level where I could find no joy playing it without money being involve.

I invented Abak on a trip to Easter Island on August 1999, out of boredom.
The first version was very different from this one, and none of my friends kept playing it once I taught them how to. So, it went to the basement of my brain for long years.
One day, at work, on 2007, I taught some coworkers how to play backgammon, and when they refused to keep playing against me for money, boredom again lent me to teach them the game I had once invented.
But first I made the changes to make it great (the wounded, and some restrictions).
It was such a success among them. Since then, every day some couple (usually with me, everything has to be said) plays Abak at lunch time at my work.
These teammates encouraged me to make a software version of the game, but you know life and its priorities.
So, many years passed until September 2009. I had an accident that gave me two full weeks at home.
A software was created, full of bugs, and took so much effort and energy, that slept for years again.
Since then, several burst of enthusiasm got me working on it, until I got to a level where I could share it with the world.
I feel I'm so lucky to be good at programming & computers. If I wouldn't I could never had had the opportunity to make this possible, and release a free version for you to get to know it.
So here it is, a one man show (save for the graphics, many thanks to www.vrweb.cl)
I hope you have enjoyed it
